The Australian International Marine Export Group, organizers of the Australian Marine Export and Superyacht Industry Conference (ASMEX) are excited to announce that ASMEX 2018 will return to Sanctuary Cove for its 8th edition partnered by loyal supporter and sponsor, the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS).

The conference will run from the 21 – 23 May 2018, conveniently held in the days leading up to the Sanctuary Cove International Boat show which runs from the 24 – 27 May 2018. The timing of the conference, being immediately prior to the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and following the 2018 Commonwealth Games, will bring a significant volume of domestic and international visitors to the region, with around 1.5 million people expected to attend Commonwealth Games ticketed events.

M. Edwards CEO of AIMEX & Superyacht Australia said” Hosting ASMEX in conjunction with the Sanctuary Cove Boat show makes sense, we are always conscious that we need to maximise members time and hold a conference during an event like this allows everyone the opportunity to attend.  It is fantastic for the industry that the show supports the conference again allowing us to offer significantly lower registration fees than any other industry conference.”

It will mark the 8th consecutive year Sanctuary Cove has hosted ASMEX, a conference which has grown to become the leading marine industry conference in Australia and attracts key players globally. The conference will feature high profile national and international guest speakers who will address current and topical issues in the industry today.  The event has gained significant momentum over the past seven years and is set to attract an even greater presence of international delegates in its 8th year. A preliminary program and theme for the conference will be released towards the end of this year.

Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) General Manager Johan Hasser said “the Show is proud to again partner with AIMEX-Superyacht Australia to present the 2018 Australian Superyacht & Marine Conference (ASMEX). The partnership between SCIBS and ASMEX is a longstanding and mutually supportive one which, in this particularly significant year for our region, promises to deliver even more benefits to our industry,”

“Each year, ASMEX attracts an impressive line-up of superyacht industry leaders, among them company founders, CEOs and senior managers, many of whom stay on to experience the latest in Australian marine innovation and lifestyle on display at SCIBS. Together, SCIBS and ASMEX provide a compelling platform for delegates, members, guest speakers and exhibitors to network and build strong business relationships that in turn yield lucrative results for Australian manufacturers and brands,” he said.

Sanctuary Cove is home to two championship golf courses, the luxury world-class InterContinental Resort set among impeccable gardens and of course, the thriving Marine Village with its boutiques, bars and restaurants, a host of yacht and boat tenants, plus the Marina – covering every facet of the Australian coastal lifestyle.

SCIBS is widely recognized as one of the must-attend boat shows on the marine industry’s international calendar. 2018 marks the 30th anniversary of the world famous boating festival which is expected to attract a record number of exhibitors in 2018. The international boat show runs for 4 days and celebrates everything marine, with the industries latest and greatest showcased against the spectacular backdrop of the Sanctuary Cove Marine village on Australia’s Gold Coast.
