AIMEX ENSURES INDUSTRY MAXIMIZES THEIR SUCCESS WHEN BIDDING ON CONTRACTS

A series of four seminars throughout June have been organized by AIMEX in conjunction with the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science Entrepreneurs’ Programme and supported by the Australian Industry Group to provide members the skills to be competitive when tendering and to better articulate their business capability.

These tendering and capability statement seminars have been very well received and AIMEX have advised that the target numbers for all seminars have been reached with particular interest in Queensland and Western Australia.

AIMEX CEO MaryAnne Edwards said “One of the key issues members across all of our industry sectors face is understanding how to be successful in bidding for government contracts and tendering for work.  It is felt that the big companies always win and the small to medium sized businesses don’t get a chance with these opportunities.  AIMEX want to ensure all businesses get access to these government contracts and have a good understanding of how to best approach this. These seminars are designed to do exactly that.”

The seminars will be run in Tasmania, Sydney, Perth and the Gold Coast and Australian Commercial Marine Group Manager, Denis Maher will attend all four to facilitate the building of business connections.

To maximize the value of these seminars most sessions include site tours and all will finish with a networking event for all relevant industry members to attend.

Jeremy Spear of Spear Green Design said “We have found the Seminars run by AIMEX to be a really informative and efficient method of gaining skills and remaining current with respect to legislation or improving marketing and management aspects of our business. The accompanying networking functions invariably give excellent opportunities to make new relationships and to update previous acquaintances with key industry professionals. I urge any serious marine industry players to attend these functions and to reap the benefits of the quality information which is provided at no cost.”
