The annual Australian Superyacht and Marine Export conference (ASMEX) will return to the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort in 2016 and will be held immediately prior to the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and the Gold Coast Marine Expo. The conference will be held 17/18 May.

It will mark the 6th consecutive year Sanctuary Cove has hosted ASMEX, which will again feature high profile national and international guest speakers who will address current and topical issues in the industry today.

The survey of delegates after last year’s conference made it very clear they wanted the conference alongside a major boat show providing maximum value for attendees.

Sanctuary Cove Boat Show smallAIMEX CEO M Edwards said, “Returning to Sanctuary Cove made sense, particularly given the support the conference receives from the Sanctuary Cove International Boat show. Without this significant support we would not be able to put on such a successful event”.

Edwards also announced that delegate registration fees for the conference would remain at the same cost as last year. “The conference is totally focused on providing value to our members and providing them with the tools, information and networking opportunities required to drive growth in their business.  We want to keep the registration fee as low as possible to allow as many businesses as possible to attend.  Many conferences these days are expensive and smaller businesses struggle to justify the costs”.

The theme for this year’s conference is “Building a Business for the Future” and as such will have speakers covering key business related topics such as marketing in a new era, building sustainable export markets, where are the opportunities, understanding and finding the best distribution channels, driving sales, forecasting and finance and the critical importance of building relationships and networking to achieve outcomes.

The Asia Pacific region is increasingly the focus for many global businesses, where does Australia fit in the mix?

ASMEX is the leading marine export and superyacht conference in Australia and attracts delegates from across the globe.  This year AIMEX has already secured some very high profile industry personalities from the UK, the Netherlands, the USA, the Pacific region and Asia.

The conference now renowned for its provision of quality information, valuable networking and providing the industry with opportunities, solutions and outcomes will also include  a programme for the commercial and defence sector with some key government speakers addressing delegates.
