AIMEX President Richard Chapman recently recognised the high calibre of Australian Marine manufacturers and service providers at the Annual Marine Industry Awards Ceremony at Sanctuary Cove.  Not only were the 13 categories of awards presented to the winners of the annual awards, but the AIMEX board of directors also recognised the commitment and growth of two other companies with special Recognition Awards.

“The calibre of the entries in this years’ awards is testimony to the strength that the Australian Marine Industry has in both the domestic and international markets”  Chapman said.

The board acknowledged SOS Marine a company that has a long history of contributing to the marine safety of Australia. The AIMEX board wanted to recognise that to compete in the arena of SAFETY is extremely challenging as whatever product is being produced,  is heavily scrutinized and tested against World and Australian Standards particularly in the area of Survival at Sea. SOS Marine is an Australian Company that has endured such measurement and managed to gain the attention of the Military, Government Agencies and other worldwide consumers. Totally Australian in design and manufacturing and, continuing to research and develop so as to open new markets is a true testament to this company.

The AIMEX board also recognised the continued work of Peter Luke.

“Peter’s support for Superyacht Australia and his input to creating profile for Australia in the Asia Pacific region should not go unnoticed” Chapman said.

Peter not only pushes to elevate his own business Superyacht Solutions, but also has a strong interest in ensuring his colleagues and industry players attract as much business as possible to Australia.

Chapman said “it is important to be able to say thank you to individuals and companies who are making strong contributions to our industry and display those qualities, professionalism and ethics AIMEX and Superyacht Australia is known for.
