The Australian International Marine Export Group (AIMEX) are pleased to announce the appointment of Denis Maher, ACMG Business Development Manager, and Denis Holtgrefe, Operations Manager, who join the AIMEX team this month.

Due to the growth of AIMEX, now representing 3 industry sectors, these appointments are designed to strengthen the AIMEX team. Denis Maher will have the sole focus of developing and growing the Australian Commercial Marine Group whilst Denis Holtgrefe will be responsible for driving membership growth and development across all 3 sectors and brings a wealth of experience in marketing, sales and building a solid customer base.

Denis Maher is a well-known figure in the industry.  His appointment as the Commercial Business Development Manager for the Australian Commercial Marine Group will focus on the issues that are barriers to growth within the industry and creating an environment in which members in this industry sector can thrive and survive.  Within this new role, Denis will be developing and promoting the Australian Commercial and Defence Maritime Industry both nationally and internationally and assisting ACMG members to address key issues facing the marine industry.

For the past 7 years, Denis was the Business Development Manager at BSE Maritime Solutions and has significant industry sales, marketing and association experience and strong industry knowledge; boasting 12 years working within the marine industry.

Denis Holtgrefe has been appointed to the position of Operations Manager within the organization. 

Denis Holtgrefe has a wealth of management experience executing sponsorship and marketing campaigns, coming from a Senior Account Management role for Willett Marketing. With a strong track record of specializing in contractual development, benefit negotiation, managing integrated campaigns and providing premium solutions and service to clients; Denis will bring valuable capability to AIMEX.

Denis will take over responsibility for servicing members through government lobbying, revenue driving activities, building on the profile and membership base whilst promoting Australia’s marine export, superyacht and commercial marine industry’s capabilities domestically & internationally.

The core AIMEX team of Mary-Anne Edwards, Emily Simpson and Lhamo Johnson remains unchanged, the new appointments provide additional expertise and capability to service the growing membership base.
