The day workshops talk about how to identify and manage risks associated with your operation and how to develop and implement a simple but effective safety management system (SMS).
The workshops are free and lunch is provided. For more information about the workshops and how to register to attend, refer to the attached flyers.
Our most recent workshop took place last week in Newcastle with the assistance of a Vietnamese interpreter. Attendees took away a good understanding of how the regulations serve to increase safety and how a safety management system works. The workshop also helped attendees to connect with the local Professional Fisherman’s Association (PFA), and get assistance todevelopand implement an SMS.
We would like to thank the PFA for their assistance and Sam Stroud from Roads & Maritime Services NSW, who also supported the workshop and provided his knowledge and expertise.
* The Manly workshop will be tailored to address in particular, information relevant to commercial fishing vessels under 10 metres in length.
