Sydney City Marine (SCM) has confirmed its attendance at the 2019 Pacific International Maritime Exposition (Pacific 2019), to be held at Sydney’s International Convention Centre in Darling Harbour, 8 to 10 October 2019.
The biennial event, supported by the Australian Defence Force, in particular the Royal Australian Navy, and the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science, comprises exhibition, conferences and networking opportunities.
Warren Levin, Director, Commercial & Defence at Sydney City Marine will attend Pacific 2019 – his 11th Pacific Maritime Expo, during which time he represented various companies to showcase Naval related goods and services to foreign Navies.
According to Mr Levin, Pacific 2019 is the premier event for Maritime (Navy) in the southern hemisphere.
“It’s the only comprehensive international exhibition of its kind in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region and is considered the ideal showcase for commercial maritime and naval defence industries to promote their capabilities to decision-makers from around the world.
“It provides numerous opportunities for both foreign and domestic Navies to review new and innovative ideas and solutions for the next generation of global Naval Fleets.”
SCM’s main objectives are to increase market awareness of its unique local capabilities and to meet with senior Naval personnel and relevant companies that possess synergies with SCM’s scope and future ambitions.
“It is imperative for SCM to attend this event to begin the process of market branding into the Defence domain and to ensure that our future Defence clients know who we are and what our capabilities are to support our growth aspirations in this market,” Mr Levin added.
SCM will exhibit within the Australian Industry & Defence Network (AIDN) Pavilion, which provides a valuable opportunity for Australian SMEs to stand out from the crowd.
AIDN and its Chapters are focused on growing opportunities for their members to secure business nationally and internationally from the large numbers of overseas delegations who will visit Pacific 2019.
