One of the nation’s most trusted names in marine and industrial engines has undergone a major rebrand – signalling a bold new era for the Queensland-based company.

Seamech, an award-winning distribution and proud support partner of global leaders in industrial and marine power solutions, Volvo Penta and Rehlko Marine, has officially evolved into Oceania Power.

The new brand direction reflects their commitment to delivering world-class products from their trusted partners, backed by their industry-leading after-sales support, service excellence, and trusted dealer network.

Founded in 2007, Seamech established itself in the marine sector before steadily expanding into land-based industries, off-highway machinery and hybrid systems.

Today, Oceania Power is Queensland and Papua New Guinea’s authorised partner for Volvo Penta and Rehlko, delivering tailored engine and power solutions backed by fast access to spare parts, responsive troubleshooting, and supporting a service network of more than 25 authorised dealers.

With decades of combined experience delivering tailored engine and power solutions, the Oceania Power team has helped deliver some of Australia’s most innovative projects, including the country’s first IMO III-compliant vessel, the first IPS patrol and police boats, and next-generation Tier 4 and Stage 5 industrial powered machines.

Oceania Power Managing Director Andrew Cottle said the rebrand marked more than a name change, but a clear statement about their capabilities.

“We’re proud to carry forward everything that made Seamech trusted, but Oceania Power is about reflecting the full scope of who we are today and the opportunities to come,” Mr Cttle said.

“Over the past few decades, we have grown into a partner for industries on land and at sea by offering tailored solutions for commercial operators, leisure market segments, and industrial power solutions across a range of industries that keep Australia moving forward.”

“Backed by the strength of Volvo Penta’s globally recognised products, and national network of more than 100 trusted dealers, we see huge opportunities ahead in fast-growing sectors such as hybrid systems, battery energy storage, and e-mobility, and we’re excited to help our customers navigate that shift.”

While the company’s dealer-first service model and local expertise have long set it apart from the pack, James Prosser, Oceania Power’s General Manager said their ability to combine local warehousing and factory-trained technicians across Queensland and Papua New Guinea had fuelled Oceania Power’s evolution.

“We know the brands we partner with and their products inside out, which enables us to provide the right solution to support our customers when it matters most,” Mr Prosser said.

“Whether it’s a (leisure vessel or commercial workboat) commercial vessel, a mining operation, or an industrial power plant, we work closely with customers to help optimise performance and ensure uptime, and if they ever require additional support, a trusted network partner is never far away.”

Oceania Power deploys Volvo Penta’s offering across marine propulsion, auxiliary equipment, marine gensets, off-highway industrial engines, prime and standby generators, dual-fuel engines, battery energy storage systems, and emerging hybrid and e-mobility solutions.

By combining Volvo Penta’s global innovation and supply chain with local service, the company helps customers across the country meet performance, emissions, and sustainability targets across diverse sectors via a collaborative approach that sees the team work closely with OEMs, operators, and trade clients to assess needs, recommend tailored packages, integrate optional components, and provide ongoing backup through its dealer network.

Looking ahead, Oceania Power plans to continue deepening its partnerships and investing in the technologies shaping the future of power all while maintaining the trusted service and support that have underpinned its journey from Seamech to Oceania Power.

“While our name has changed, our commitment remains the same,” Mr Cottle said.

“We’re here to help our customers stay productive and supported – no matter where the job takes them – with smart solutions, strong partnerships, and the expert backup they need to power forward into the future on land and at sea.”
