The Australian Commercial Marine Conference is the leading forum for Australia’s commercial marine industry, bringing together vessel operators, owners, key stakeholders and industry leaders from across the country. Featuring keynote speakers, dynamic panel discussions and thought-provoking debates, the conference also offers outstanding opportunities for networking, business development and industry collaboration.


2026 AUSTRALIAN COMMERCIAL MARINE CONFERENCE A SHOWCASE OF INNOVATION

The Australian Commercial Marine Group (ACMG) successfully delivered the third annual Australian Commercial Marine Conference, welcoming a sell-out crowd of 143 registrations as operators, suppliers and industry leaders from across Australia gathered on Wednesday, 29 July aboard SeaLink M/V Starship Sydney at Darling Harbour.



The one-day event delivered a full program of innovation and a forward-looking approach to propulsion energy and tourism, cementing its place as a showcase for what is ahead in commercial marine. Delegates were given an introduction to significant industry developments, including major project reveals, expert-led sessions spanning tourism, technology, economics and operations, the debut of the new Pitch Platform and a dedicated Exhibitor Zone spotlighting the emerging technologies, products and solutions shaping the industry’s future.

COMMERCIAL MARINE SPEAKERS

The conference brought together a strong program of industry insights, innovation and practical discussion, with highlights including the unveiling of Control Point Group’s SUKKAGON™ ventilation system, the introduction of Scania’s next-generation propulsion technology and an update on Aus Ships Group’s development of Australia’s first fully electric passenger ferry. The program also explored the broader opportunities and challenges facing the commercial marine sector, with expert perspectives spanning economics, tourism, operations, innovation and industry development.




Designed to foster meaningful industry connections, the conference placed a strong emphasis on networking, with dedicated sessions throughout the day to build relationships, exchange ideas and explore new commercial opportunities.


COMMERCIAL MARINE PITCH PLATFORM

The 2026 Conference saw the introduction of the Pitch Platform, providing members with the opportunity to present their products, services and innovations directly to industry professionals. The inaugural session featured presentations from Marine Air Flow International, Sea-Flux, BluSky and Nebo Fleet, highlighting Australian innovation and new solutions supporting the commercial marine sector.


COMMERCIAL MARINE EXHIBITOR ZONE

The Exhibitor Zone provided further opportunities for delegates to connect with industry suppliers and explore the latest technologies and services, featuring Gineico Marine & Aerlift Australia, Integ Marine Group, Logix Consulting, Sea-Flux, Slattery & Grays, Tiller Technical and Z-GRYO.

SYDNEY NETWORKING DRINKS

The conference concluded with Member Networking Drinks, bringing together members of ACMG, the Australian International Marine Export Group (AIMEX) and Superyacht Australia to continue discussions, strengthen industry connections and build future opportunities.
