Norman R. Wright & Sons is a custom designer and builder of the highest quality commercial and pleasure boats – from tenders to superyachts. Based in Brisbane, Queensland, we have been mastering the art of vessel design and building for over 115 years. From the initial proposal, detail design, to the launch of the vessel, and subsequent lifetime care and repair, we have been providing our clients a complete in-house service for all of their needs.

World Class Facilities:

Located adjacent to the Rivergate Shipyard Complex on the Brisbane River our facility has access to 75 and  300 tonne travel-lifts and a selection of deep water berths. Our undercover shed  and hardstand areas can cater for yachts up to 120 feet in a secure locked facility. With only 6 nautical miles to the entry to the Brisbane River and with all year round deep water access, our facility is perfectly suited for those travelling from North or South seeking world class facilities and all the trades required to complete extensive refit and maintenance for all types and sizes of vessels

Custom new builds:

• We have developed extensive fibre composite skills which regularly sees us design and building vessels from fully resin infused lightweight composite sandwich structures, whether they be 30 knot 100ft carbon fibre pleasure boats or rugged pilot and work boats.  We also work with trusted quality aluminium fabricators to bring the most demanding workboat projects to fruition with renown Norman Wright level quality.
