Boatology will premiere the Cantiere Mimì Libeccio 13.5 Cabin and Libeccio 11 Cabin at the 2026 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, following the sale of the first two Mimì vessels in Australia – a Libeccio 8.5 Cabin and a Libeccio 9.5 Cabin. This immediate uptake indicates strong market confidence in the Neapolitan brand, while still offering a rare opportunity to secure one of the first larger Mimì models in the country.

“Seeing our first two Mimìs placed with Australian owners gives new buyers a quiet confidence that they’re joining an established global community, not just purchasing a boat,” says Zain Moloobhoy, founder of Boatology. “At SCIBS, they will be able to step aboard the heavily optioned flagship Libeccio 13.5 Cabin, alongside the versatile Libeccio 11 Cabin, with full local support behind them.”

Drawing on Italy’s heritage of refined design and meticulous craftsmanship, the Libeccio 13.5 Cabin represents the pinnacle of the Naples-based shipyard’s modern gozzo philosophy. This flagship model delivers three cabins, two bathrooms, generous teak decks and an indoor–outdoor galley, powered by twin Yanmar 370 hp engines for relaxed 15–25 knot cruising and a top speed of around 30 knots. The Libeccio 11 Cabin carries the same Mediterranean elegance into an 11-metre, twin engine, two-cabin hard-top ideal for Australian day-boating and weekending.

In a major milestone for the local industry, renowned Italian naval architect Valerio Rivellini and Cantiere Mimì Director Domenico Senese will return to Australia to personally introduce the Mimì models and meet local owners and media. Their presence—following last year’s highly successful Sydney debut—signals the brand’s growing commitment to the region and the rapid rise of Mimì’s profile across Australia and New Zealand.

Rivellini, celebrated as one of Italy’s leading contemporary yacht designers, has redefined Mediterranean luxury with his modern interpretation of the classic Sorrentine gozzo. Senese, whose family is now in its fifth decade of boatbuilding excellence, continues to guide Cantiere Mimì as one of Italy’s most admired boutique shipyards.

Valerio Rivellini said he is looking forward to returning to Australia and unveiling the larger models now joining the local fleet.  “The Mimi Libeccio range is about more than just design—it embodies a way of life,” he said. “The 13.5 and 11 Cabin models express the beauty and elegance of Mediterranean cruising, paired with modern performance and technology. We are proud to present these models in Australia and to continue expanding our presence in this remarkable boating region.”

The designer emphasises the responsibility of honouring the shipyard’s remarkable legacy, “For me every project begins with the idea of creating something beautiful – something you can truly enjoy on the water. With Mimì that process also means respecting its history…we take the story of the shipyard and design something perfectly integrated with its heritage.”

Boatology will showcase the Cantiere Mimì Libeccio 13.5 Cabin and Libeccio 11 Cabin at the 2026 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, 21–24 May.
